Faithless Spreadsheet Ninja – 5.5% – Schwarzbier – Bottle
A black lager style but inspired by Japanese drier versions, this is a chocolate-y, mildly malt-sweet beer that still finishes crisp and clean. Hopped with Summit but kept traditional with Hersbrucker, this remains a hop-forward lager. Sorachi Ace adds complexity with coconut flavours and aroma to round it all off.
Look – Very dark brown, thick brown head.
Aroma – Coffee, treacle & aniseed.
Taste – Sweet then treacle and slight aniseed at the end.
Feel – Light body, crisp.
Finish – Dry & bitter.
